VỀ DỰ ÁN

With the Vespa S Exhibition Display 2010, Dream Studio ventured into a new discipline, introducing a visual arts approach to the window display sector in Vietnam. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists who engaged in window display design, such as Salvador Dalí, director Viet Tu and Dream Studio approached the product showcase as a visually striking installation at the heart of a major metropolis. Here, the brand's product was not merely displayed; it became a central artistic focal point within the urban landscape.

The creative and technical challenge for Dream Studio was engineering a way to bring this vision to life: the team had to develop an 11-meter-tall glass architectural structure, weighing nearly 10 tons, capable of simultaneously displaying multiple scooters while seamlessly converting into a performance space. Situated at a highly trafficked intersection in Hanoi, the structure not only had to meet rigorous structural, safety, and permitting requirements but also command strong visual recognition from multiple approach angles.

The project's primary hurdle lay in transforming a heavy-load freestanding structure - without structural anchor cables - into a product showcase that fulfilled both stringent technical specifications and high aesthetic standards. Glass, structural frameworks, lighting systems, display fixtures, and the Vespa scooters themselves were orchestrated into a unified composition, creating a visual language that was both deeply architectural and highly performative. Consequently, the boundaries between a showroom, an art installation, and a performance stage were expanded, allowing the product to integrate seamlessly into the visual landscape rather than merely existing as an isolated object.

Executed within a production timeframe of less than a week, the structure quickly emerged as a landmark in the city center, capturing the attention of the public and the art community alike. For Piaggio, this initiative stood as one of the brand's most large-scale experiential projects in Vietnam at the time.

For Dream Studio, the Vespa S Exhibition Display unlocked a new approach to brand environments. Moving beyond designing a conventional product placement area, the team architected a visual installation where the product itself served as a piece of public art enriching the urban landscape. Simultaneously, the project paved the way for subsequent collaborations among Viet Tu, AAA, Dream Studio, and Piaggio, successfully demonstrating the agency's capability to expand its creative language from stage production into visual merchandising, large-scale installations, and immersive brand environments.
