Following the success of Lost In Space, Dream Studio continued to launch Lost In Megacity as a new experiment in stage language for EDM culture in Vietnam. If Lost In Space exploited symbolic art figures, Lost In Megacity drew inspiration from the living rhythm of modern megacities, where architecture, lighting, and technology blend to create a highly energetic performance space. The stage design and the name “Lost In Megacity” simultaneously became a subtle metaphor for the sponsor Tan Hoang Minh, creating a connection with the brand without affecting the independence of the artistic idea.
The stage idea was developed from the image of skyscrapers, recreating a future city through hundreds of square meters of LED screens along with a dynamic visual system designed in multiple-spatial layers. Instead of just playing a backdrop role, the entire stage continuously transformed according to each music set, creating a feeling as if the whole city was living, breathing with the sound and rhythm of the program. Every transition moment between lighting, visuals, and sound was accurately calculated to increase audience emotions beyond merely creating visual effects.
For Dream Studio, Lost In Megacity was not simply an EDM festival but the next step in the journey of building a stage language dedicated to electronic music in Vietnam. The project continued to affirm Dream Studio’s creative philosophy: a successful stage not only impresses with its scale but also must possess an idea, a story powerful enough to become a part of the audience's experience and memories.
