Official Record: The largest multimedia water-based real-scene art performance in Vietnam inspired by the quintessence of European culture - Certified by the Vietnam Records Organization (VỉetKings).

Alongside The Quintessence of Vietnam, Charm of Venice served as the key component in the strategy of creating a multi-sensory cultural destination at Grand World Phu Quoc. Together, these two productions contributed significantly to attracting approximately 55 million visitors to the integrated resort destination in Northern Phu Quoc over the past five years and later became a reference model for visitor attraction strategies at Vinhomes Ocean Park 1 (VNExpress, 2026)

With a total investment of 4.2 million USD, the project was conceived through the intersection of European Renaissance cultural heritage and contemporary, water-based multimedia performance technologies.

Dream Studio’s objective extended far beyond recreating a festive environment. Dream Studio’s ambition was to interpret and transform the timeless aesthetic values of Italy into a living artistic experience capable of engaging contemporary audiences.

I. Pioneering Execution Capabilities

Dream Studio brought to life the operational model of a true “The Sleepless city” by establishing a fully integrated entertainment ecosystem running continuously from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day. This required a highly sophisticated approach to spatial planning, technical infrastructure, and content coordination, seamlessly connecting a network of street-performance minishows (featuring visual arts, music, circus acts, and classical parades) with the main production.

The project marked the first time in Vietnam that multiple advanced technologies were fully integrated within a submerged underwater stage environment:

  • Large-scale mechanical infrastructure and moving stage systems operating on saltwater surfaces and under coastal wind conditions.
  • Advanced 3D Mapping projection technology combined with high-powered laser systems.
  • Illuminated costume solutions utilizing LED technology and specialized reflective materials synchronized with the movement of authentic Gondola boats.

The success of Charm of Venice was supported by a rigorous management process and exceptional execution capabilities:

  • Human Resources: Coordination, training, and management of more than 500 specialized personnel over a 12-month development period.
  • Operational Standardization: All performance, technical maintenance, and operational procedures were digitized and standardized according to stringent international theatrical production benchmarks inspired by international theatrical production standards.
  • Environmental Adaptation: The outdoor venue in Phu Quoc presented significant environmental challenges due to distinct rainy and dry seasons, exposure to sea salt, and the impact of weather on stage technology. Dream Studio’s engineering team carefully calculated load-bearing capacities, marine-grade corrosion resistance, and maintenance requirements while developing comprehensive contingency systems to ensure consistent performance quality under all operating conditions.

II. Performance Narrative

The main production follows a chapter-based narrative structure inspired by the emotional landscapes and romantic mythology of the Renaissance era:

1. Chapter I | Magical Night: The performance begins with a grand procession of Gondola boats traveling from the entrance gateway toward the Lake of Love. LED-lit costumes reflecting across the water establish a romantic and immersive visual environment.

2. Chapter II | Venice Dance: Through the language of movement and Waltz-inspired choreography, the performance portrays an endless ballroom where couples meet and emotions intertwine against a contemporary interpretation of classical music.

3. Chapter III | Painting of Lovers  The appearance of the two central characters, the Young Painter and the Noble Lady, establishes the primary narrative arc through a series of elegant ceremonial processions.

4. Chapter IV | Moonlight Ball As the emotional turning point of the production, a transformation in the lighting environment symbolizes longing, separation, and the emotional void experienced when the two lovers lose sight of one another.

5. Chapter V | Promises A combination of semi-classical piano performance and artistic lighting installations celebrates the moment of reunion and the vow of eternal love.

6. Chapter VI | Dance of Light The spectacular finale erupts as performers and the musical fountain system unite in a vibrant celebration of music, light, and movement. Beyond pure entertainment, the final chapter serves as a declaration of humanity’s pursuit of happiness and the spread of positive energy throughout society.

Through Charm of Venice, Dream Studio continues to affirm the  role as a trendsetter within the cultural and creative industries. Guided by a commitment to aesthetic excellence and supported by strong technical management capabilities, Dream Studio strives to create large-scale artistic works with enduring cultural and experiential value.
