Following the Conversation No. 1 project, Dream Studio continued to expand the intersection between music, technology, and user personality through the Nokia Playlist Concert 2009. If a mobile phone is where individuals store their favorite tracks, a playlist is the ultimate expression of their personal taste and identity. Rooted in this concept, Dream Studio and Nokia liberated the playlist from the confines of a small screen, transforming it into an immersive live concert dedicated entirely to music enthusiasts.

Held on March 22, 2009, at Lan Anh Stage in Ho Chi Minh City, the program was designed around the criterion of “pure music”. Refusing to follow conventional variety show models, the entire night was curated as a cohesive journey through diverse playlists and genres. Dance, Pop, Rock, R&B, and Rap sequentially generated distinct musical nuances, all seamlessly connected within a continuous emotional arc.

Dream Studio strategically focused on bridging the gap between artists and the audience through the event's stage architecture. The expansive 300-square-meter stage featured an open, intimate design, enabling singers to move, interact, and even make appearances right in the heart of the crowd. Attendees were no longer passive spectators but were fully immersed in the performance atmosphere - perfectly embodying the spirit of enjoyment, sharing, and connection that Nokia aimed to associate with its music-centric products.

A large-scale LED screen system, combined with dynamic lighting and flexible staging, served as a crucial component. The visuals did not merely illustrate; they actively dictated the rhythm and atmosphere for each playlist. Consequently, the stage transformed continuously in sync with the music, eliminating the concept of a static backdrop behind the artists. Furthermore, instead of utilizing a traditional MC, the artists themselves acted as representatives for their respective playlists, driving the night's narrative. This approach successfully drew the audience closer to the essence of each musical genre and the authentic personalities of the performers on stage.

For Dream Studio, the Nokia Playlist Concert 2009 stands as a definitive testament to the agency's capability in translating a brand concept into theatrical language. The “playlist”, originally just a mobile feature, was expanded into a comprehensive performance structure where technology served merely as the starting point, while music, visuals, lighting, and audience interaction forged a profoundly immersive experience. Through this project, Dream Studio reaffirmed its strategic direction: elevating brand events beyond the rigid framework of conventional product promotion, allowing the brand to manifest through a distinct, signature cultural and artistic experience.
